Overview
Our Kailash Mansarovar Yatra 2025/2026 tour starts from Kathmandu. After a sightseeing tour of the UNESCO-listed heritage sites of Kathmandu Valley, we will drive through the beautiful Langtang National Park, crossing the Nepal-Tibet border to reach Kerung. You can either drive or opt for a helicopter flight to Kerung, depending on your budget and time. The journey continues with overnight stays at Kyirong and Saga before reaching the Holy Lake Mansarovar and Mount Kailash.Upon arrival at Mansarovar, pilgrims take a holy bath in the lake, believed to cleanse all sins and bring clarity and blessings. After 108 visits, it is said one can attain Nirvana. At Darchen, we begin our three-day Kailash Parikrama (Kora), the sacred walk around Mount Kailash, visiting holy sites like Yam Dwar and Dolma La Pass.

Acclimatization:
The tour is carefully planned to account for high-altitude sickness. We include a rest day at Kerung to ensure proper acclimatization. Those choosing the Lhasa route will spend two nights in the city to further adapt to the altitude.

Day 1: Arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport Kathmandu
Arrive at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu. Our representative will meet you there. After you finish your immigration formalities, you can get a SIM card if you need it. We will then take you to your hotel. When you have time, settle in and freshen up after your long flight. We will have a short meeting to brief you about the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra tour. The evening is free at your leisure. You can enjoy a delicious dinner in one of the best restaurants. Overnight stay in Kathmandu.

Day 2: Kathmandu Temple Visit and Yatra Briefing
After breakfast, visit the sacred Pashupatinath temple, Gyuheshwari, and Jal Narayan. Return to the hotel for lunch, followed by a Yatra briefing and some leisure time for shopping. The day concludes with all yatris gathering for final instructions.

Day 3: Drive to Shyabrubesi (Altitude 1600m, 145km)
After breakfast and checking out from the Kathmandu hotel, board the bus and begin your scenic drive to Shyabrubesi. Enjoy a fresh lunch along the way before continuing the journey. Arrive in Shyabrubesi for an overnight stay.

Day 4: Drive to Kyirong (Altitude 3960m, 3-hour drive)
Start the day with breakfast at the guest house, followed by a drive to the Nepal border for immigration formalities at both Nepal and China. After clearing customs, meet your Tibetan guide and continue the journey to Kyirong for an overnight stay.

Day 5: Rest Day in Kyirong – Visit Market and Bhrikuti Temple
Enjoy a day of rest in Kyirong. Explore the local market and visit the sacred Bhrikuti Temple. Take this time to relax and acclimatize before continuing the spiritual journey.

Day 6: Drive to Saga (Altitude 4600m, 350km)
After an early breakfast at the guesthouse, board the bus for a scenic drive to Saga. The journey takes you through winding roads, mountain passes, and grasslands while crossing the Brahmaputra River. Enjoy a packed lunch along the way before arriving in Saga for an overnight stay.

Day 7: Drive to Holy Mansarovar (Altitude 4550m, 270km)
After breakfast at the guest house, continue the Yatra to Mansarovar. This is a significant day as yatris will have the first Darshan of Mt. Kailash and take a holy dip in the sacred Lake Mansarovar. Afterward, continue the Parikrama (circumambulation) around the holy lake. Overnight stay at Chu Gumpa.

Day 8: Drive to Darchen (Altitude 4575m, 40km)
Wake up early to enjoy tea or coffee, followed by a Pooja and Hawan ceremony for a spiritual start to the day. After a fresh lunch, drive to Darchen for an overnight stay.

Day 9: Drive to Yamadwar and Trek to Dirapuk (Altitude 4860m, 13km Trek)
Begin the Mt. Kailash Parikrama (Kora) with an 8 km drive to Yamadwar, followed by a 13 km trek to Dirapuk. The full Parikrama takes three days, covering 42 km, with the highest point at Dolma Pass (5600m). Pilgrims who opt out of the Parikrama can return to Darchen. Those who booked a horse and porter should confirm their arrangements before starting. If you’re in good health, you can visit Charansparsh (North Face of Kailash), which takes about 5 hours for a round trip.

Day 10: Trek to Zuthulpuk (Altitude 4760m, 22km Trek, Approx. 9 hours)
Wake up early to enjoy tea or coffee, followed by a Pooja and Hawan ceremony for a spiritual start to the day. After a fresh lunch, drive to Darchen for an overnight stay.

Day 11: Trek to Darchen & Drive to Saga
After an early breakfast, complete the final leg of the Kailash Kora with a trek back to Darchen. Once the trek is finished, board the bus and drive to Saga for an overnight stay.

Day 12: Drive to Kyirong
Enjoy breakfast at the guesthouse, then depart for the drive to Kyirong. Arrive and stay overnight.

Day 13: Drive Back to Kathmandu
After an early breakfast at the guesthouse, drive to the China border for customs formalities. Once cleared, continue the journey back to Kathmandu for an overnight stay.

Departure
After a morning breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Tribhuvan International Airport for your onward journey, marking the end of your pilgrimage. Safe travels!

Walking
